Spending Time Together - Search for Common Ground

When two people find - common ground based on common experiences, it can give rise to extraordinary even legendary - relationships.

When the founder of the Beatles, John Lennon -first met Paul McCartney, a deep friendship was launched that - lasted for many decades. And it only took an hour or so of - conversation to create than bond.

After a short chat John revealed that he had lost his mother - vmany years before. After he shared his sad story of loss, Paul chimed in that he too had lost his mother and had been - through a very similar experience. That shared common ground formed the - basis for a world-class friendship and a multi-billion dollar music empire.

During your first few dates be sure to occasionally ask personal questions designed to draw her out. Ask open ended - questions that can’t be answered with a simple yes or no.

Your goal here is to gather information on her - background so that you can search for common ground. When you do - stumble on a common experience, point it out with enthusiasm and tell her that you - understand exactly how she feels it about it.

This can create a powerful bond between the two of you. It can give her the impression that the two of you have much in - common and that destiny played a role in your meeting and that the future may hold much - promise.

Ask her to describe her life and career goals. Ignore any you can’t identify with but hone in on those you have in - common. Love affairs and even marriages are common in political parties and environmental -groups as the workers there all share common interests and goals.
